U.S. – UAE relations:
The United States and United Arab Emirates established diplomatic and economic relations in 1971 at the time when United Arab Emirates gained full independence from the United Kingdom. The United States and United Arab Emirates cooperate in various issues including law enforcement, energy policy, non-proliferation, trade, cultural exchange, regional security, economic growth, and education. The U.S. and U.A.E. signed the Trade and Investment Framework Agreement, and they are members of the same international organizations, including World Trade Organization, International Monetary Fund, World Bank.
